I'm just worried how it'll age over time. Implants don't change and age like the rest. There's chance you'll end up an unsalvageable monster.

There are real tangible benefits to good looks and there are real tangible disadvantages to bad looks. This isn't a mindset thing. Some people are objectively worse looking than others. This has nothing to do with how "insecure" the person is.
I am very secure in the fact that I look like shit.

I'm still not THAT insecure that i'd actually go with surgery. Sure i look like shit and i'm secure in that.

I want to get plastic surgery but i'm afraid that i'm not prepared to be 'beautiful'. I think it's kind of a monkey paw wish where you'd suddenly have to deal with more jealousy, competition, and people assuming you have confidence. Attractive people have been dealing with this since birth so they'd know how to handle it

I imagine it's similar to the psychological impact of wearing a suit except inescapable. Going back in time and being attractive since birth is desirable. Becoming handsome now, though, after years of psychological and social adaption? You don't know how to operate on the level socially of people liking you for your appearance initially and it's a skill in and of itself.

Really I think cosmetic surgery is a bad idea in general. You can't get back what you lose in those processes. Christ, look at Meg Ryan.

Because the procedure I need is done by only a few doctors and is far too expensive for me. (Orbital rim implants)

I can afford a canthoplasty overseas which is a half assed solution to the problem but theres a bit of risk involved and its only solving part of the problem.

it's not really that much though. plastic surgery is far more common than people think. it's shameful to admit to doing it, so no one ever talks about it.

for example rich people are notorious for letting their teenaged children get it at a young age so they can pass off a complete change of their face structure as "growing pains". no one ever questions them on it and the kid can now grow up with benefits from being attractive

I had a rhinoplasty done when I was 17. I had to get surgery done on my nose anyways and it wasn't too expensive to add on due to where I live.

They didn't get the best surgeons in the world. Because a good cosmetic surgeon would've not used botox. It looks like shit and is a neurotoxin.

Plastic surgery doesn't really do much unless you have a very obvious and fixable flaw such as a receding chin. If you're just unattractive without such flaws, then you're out of luck.
