Why do so many robots and outcasts die from OD on heroin?

Robots feel like shit all the time.

Heroin makes them feel good, they get hooked, tolerance builds up and they need more and more, then they die from ODing.

I'm sure that for at least an appreciable percentage of robots and outcasts (on this site or elsewhere), heroin and other similarly dangerous yet pleasurable substances offer temporary relief, an escape from an otherwise oppressive and seemingly antagonistic world.

Perhaps some even know where their habits may lead, but refuse to stray from the path they've chosen because they reckon that dying sooner and in a perceptibly more pleasurable state is a superior option to the rope.

I'm content with alcohol. I'd give heroin a whirl if it weren't for the fentanyl crisis.

they do? i mean logically it's a great way to go. you get to spend your last moments feeling great and it slowly kills you.

Its really easy to fuck up and die i personally have known two people to die from heroin, one was trying it for the first time and shot way too much and killed herself and the other made some kind of mistake and died from it
