Should I get a cat ? I have no friends so if someday need to be absent for more than a day for some specific reason, I have no one that can take care of the cat in the meantime. Also, is there other problem I haven't thought of about having a cat in my case ?

I have a cat and it's more trouble than you would think it would be.

I could live in a studio apt happily if it were not for my cat, so in that way she costs me $300 a month

I leave the cat alone for around 5-8 days around vacation. Just get an automatic litter box that isn't retarded. They're also very sad during that time.
