Then why didn't your wife say anything to him. They all knew he liked her, she knew he liked her and she even liked him. If this story was real, I guarantee she would've at some point asked Steve. Why would've she been so stubborn about never taking the initiative herself.

But sadly I can see myself in this story. Except the girl in my case has been in a relationship during the entire friendship we've had together, and 6 years later still is. I never wanted to be the asshole to come in between them, but as years have gone by, and recently getting on antidepressants, I've wanted to confess to her. Even just to get closure, but I can't help but to feel guilty.
