If you make even the most vague reference to Dragon Ball he will talk about it for at least the next hour. And he doesn't provide any commentary, just summarizes things he saw on the how followed by the phrase "I that was funny."

He will also ask questions starting with "did you see when X happened" and even if you answer in the affirmative he will still go on to spend the next 15 minutes summarizing what you just said you were familiar with.
