Nier Automata is an overrated game with a story that tries to be deep yet is as shallow as a puddle, forced, repetitive combat, one dimensional characters and would not receive half the praise if it weren't Japanese and if the main characters weren't attractive.

The game is all about the atmosphere. The setting, the amazing soundtrack. Some sidequests have nice stories. It is a lot of wasted potential though, both with gameplay and story. The main story is just a bunch of unconnected events happening one after another.
