I went to a psychiatrist and explained my panic attack problems, it was given with antidepressants. In France they like to give Lexomil instead, which is not so different. It really depends on the doctor. Some will give it immediately, other will try an antidepressant first. Xanax gets dangerous (most likely to blackout) above 2mg I would say with someone with no tolerance.

You'll get withdrawal if you take it for prolonged periods. You really don't want your body to get addicted to it because withdrawal is hell. There is no withdrawal or hangover if you take a single dose.
