Fuck me I'm at uni. I'm surrounded by 11/10 hotties all day. They smile at me when they walk past. They try spark conversations with me and I say something autistic and instantly wash out. Then I go back to my room and drink. And drink. And drink. Alone.

I'd like to drink maybe 3-4 times a week, but I'm physically weak and now I had to stop... I don't get sick or hungover, but now that I'm 32 it decreases my general health and my lower back hurts. And very low energy in general- walking around like a cripple. I pulled out my back twice recently, and it's because of the alcohol. If I didn't have valerian root as a weak substitute, I'd probably go nuts. (Yeah, people might have seen me mention it here before. I'm probably the only one. I'm the stupid 32 year old "valerian root" guy.)

Oddly enough, I'm not really craving alcohol now. I think because my family's being extra nice to me, and I'm somewhat hopeful about my future. ...Really, for like a year I was drinking every day, so yeah, I do usually love/need the stuff.

Yeah. Interesting to hear your experience, because I usually hate any kind of sleep aid or anti-anxiety, natural or not, but valerian I never regret taking, no matter how much I take. I can take some during the day, and it will give me energy rather than put me to sleep. It calms me like nothing else. I didn't think anyone *could* have a bad reaction to it.
