I want to get into crypto trading because I'm poor as shit, but the minimum deposit for most sites is 25$+. Any richfag out there who feels like donating 10$ so I could start trading?

Good going there anon. I also thought of investing in XEM/DGB and maybe LTC. With what coin did you get started? Any tips?
>>
>>37552541
I was i to bitcoin years ago but I sold it. Got into eth when it was 13, 30, 50, and 70. Cashed out half at 180 to take some profits.

Got into litecoin at 20 and sold at 33.

NEM is set to explode, so is GNT.

Ripple and PIVX for a two week minimum hold. They're down in the doldrums at below 10 k and 60 k respectively, with their all time highs at more than double their current price. Ripple gets dumped every weekend by banks and is convincing people that it's on a bearish trend because of that, bust as soon as people pick up on the cycle they're going to start cycling back up the three week long pump and dumps. PIVX is seriously undervalued for the technology is represents, and the moment it gets back into the swing of things, expect it to moon hard.

Other honorable mentions are REP, ETH, DGB, and RDD for short term gains coupled with range trading. Remember kids, buy low and sell high. Don't panic, be patient, and above all be smart.

Disclosure: I have holdings in all the above listed coins, so take my advice as you will.

Not everyone lives in the states. Living is fine, but right now I can't afford to spend 25$ and lose it right now. If i wait till next month I could probabily scrape 50$+, but I wanna start as fast as possible.

Worth a try.

How much time did you spend investigating cryptocurrencies? How much time do you spend per day reading about them? Where did\do you do your research?

I am in college and have food and living assured. 25$ where you live could be worth quite a bit especially for a college student. So fuck off.

I spent a solid month learning how to put together and set up my mining rigs. I made my own cases, reflashed all of my own roms, and tuned all of the cards using msi afterburner. Not necessarily hard, but each procedure has a level of nuance to it that requires research.

I spend about 3 hours a day reading about crypto about another 3 trading/checking the tickers. I usually check /biz/, bitcoin talk, twitter, and a few slacks to see what's going on with specific currencies. I'm in about 15 coins at the moment, so I'm always bouncing around. Best place to learn about a specific currency is the website or github. The smart investor always reads the white paper.

I spent 3k on my mining rigs in March and they're now making me $1500 a month after electricity, where I send the leftover money to the exchange to invest. I'm holding out for XRP and a few other currencies, so I'll hopefully break 10k in a few days.

I'm not in debt, and don't intend to be. I'm just looking for some extra income to spend on vidya and animu. I'm not going to be in debt any time soon.

Do you think you could take someone like person, who has very little knowledge and doesn't want to learn too much, and instruct me on how to set up my own rig and get started... and then advise me regularly on what to invest in, and take a cut yourself? Basically... you use your knowledge so that I can make money for free (without having to learn too much), but you get a nice chunk of that money?

>>
>>37553710

Where did you learn how to make rigs? What websites are good? Where did you get advice from?
>>
>>37553710

What country to live in? I figured you have to live somewhere where electricity is cheap in order for rigs to be lucrative....
>>
>>37554072
I could and I can. I'll send you an email and we'll negotiate. You need to have access to the internet and an exchange so you can make snap trades if you're really, really interested in making lots of money. Otherwise, just buy and hold and set stop losses.

>>37554093
Used Google and watched a lot of videos/ read tutorials. I already know how to put together computers, so all I had to learn was how to use the mining equipment and how to flash cards. All mining is roughly the same, but this is specific to Ethereum.

Geth/Ether
https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-ethereum/

Mining Rig Case
https://youtu.be/OfE_QidD75M

Flashing a ROM
http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2288384/upgrade-gpu-bios.html

The specifics of your rigs will change with the parts, manufacturer, type of currency you're mining, and your chosen drivers, so you'll have to research and experiment for yourself on how to get the most out of your machine. You will have part failures, that's a given, but that's what troubleshooting is for.

I am from the great state of Florida. Electricity costs runs me $250 a month all told, with the mining rigs costing about $150 to run 24/7. My apartment gets hot because of all the electronics running, but it's worth it.

Pic related is my track record this far.

I know this feel, I thought $300 was a lot a few years ago. Now I have more extra money but $2800 is a lot. Buying less than 1 coin doesn't seem very useful either.

Where should I invest my extra $500?

Wtf.

I cash out about $800 a month, at the moment. Coinbase, Gemini, Kraken. Look ot up.

>>37555226
Three of these, except I have 4 on each rig. I undervolted them, so the cards idle at ~75 c at 100% load. Recently bought a server rack, so I'm going to move them to the racks after I make new shelves. Should be a bit cooler.

I don't even understand how these work. I remember hearing about bitcoin mining but how would that generate money? It would just be money created out of thin air.

Is it renting out processing power or something?
