yes, but it wasn't truly bad until 2011, and then until 2015

The internet was sure as hell better, I don't know about everything else. I guess there was less degeneracy in media and culture, although that isn't saying much.

I think the best time for any of us was the 1990s. I think it was a better time overall in America. This was before 911, before the radical turn of PC Culture and Social Justice in all aspects of American culture. The internet was better back then. This was before social media became mainstream. I think it was a great time for me because I was a child.

Add a couple more traumatic events to the list (abusive relationships, loss of close ones, etc.) and now I'm in the desperate need of therapy. I wish I had died in the summer of '07, at least I would've died happy.
