Tfw was never able to be social in that game.
The last time I raided was back in 2011 in a Private server, actually communicating with people and I also got an arena partner.
Since then I have been playing constantly in retail and have never made a Friend or been in a Scheduled raid.
I don't know why I keep playing that LFR daily simulator without the social essence of the game.

Joining a raid teams probably your best bet. No one talks in that game outside of the guilds anymore.

RP gets you not only wow based communication but also a lot of ooc stuff which becomes quite normal.
