I want the same thing OP, but I can't even get a one night stand at cons. The only way I've been able to hook up with girls is by talking to them online for a month before the con, but this involves being lucky enough to meet them before, maybe even at that same con a year before hand.

Probably easier would be to find a girl that's into cosplaying but not necessarily having done a catgirl before and convincing her to do it. Just gotta find a girl that's lewd enough.

I figured this much, girls aside I hate going to cons (or really any public social venue like bar/club) alone because people are usually are in their own groups and know each other and your just an outsider. Plus its hard to know who is single and what not.
Aside from the one night stand bullshit, all relationships I've had I've met the girl in person at work or what not. However in this case I feel like going the online route would be better, but its not like there a tinder for cosplayers.

Also I'm trying to get over grief my previous GF who was a weeb and cosplayed in and out of the bedroom passed because of surgery complications and I can't get over it. I'm suprised I havent gone of the edge because of this.

I've started hating going to cons for the same reason. Even if I do cosplay in a popular fandom and make friends that way it's hard to keep them. I figure I'm just undesirable at this point, but I love cosplaying so much it's hard to resist no matter how disappointed I get.
I've met cosplayers through 4chan, fandoms, tumblr, at cons, and through cosplayer friends. The latter is the easiest way since they'll know who lives where and who's single, but again I'm not very popular.
Damn man, sorry for your loss. How long has it been? I feel like if you're still hung up about it you should take more time for yourself instead of trying to replace her. You might not treat the new girl like her own person.
