/r9k/ approved albums thread
Is this album /r9k/ approved?
the white album
this one sums it up i think
Does this count as r9k approved?
>>37499434
What the fuck is it deformed? Where does the skin end and the nob begin??
>>37499484
Fuck no. Kanye is a normie who shills out music exclusively for normies and children.
Crywank or gtfo
https://youtube.com/watch?v=7kqI5fAlv5E
>>37499487
it's circumcised. the nob begins at the the second e in 'deep'
is retrowave acceptable in this bitch?
>>37499053
wtf i can't even hear the lyrics lol
>another lonely night
>stare at the tv screen
>i don't know what to do
>i need a rendezvous
>>37499053
Only shallow is just so damn good.
Really dislike most shoegaze though, I can't stand so much whiny lyrics over gay jangle, it's only fun when it's noisy.
>>37499434
You could replace it with any Death Grips release and it would work really.
pretty sure this is approved
>>37499033
>>37499647
>>37499786
surprisingly amazing taste

808s and onwards, kanye was a normie before that.

I love those albums and I'm a real robot. Good stuff. Approved.
>I wish I was queer so i could get chicks
>why's everybody always pickin on me
>lift your head up high (and blow your brains out)
This album makes being alone the best
>>37500138
>nog jungle music
>/r9k/ approved
Terry Hall is undeniably a robot.
Would this be? Makes feeling alone not so bad
Lil Ugly Mane (specifically his Bedwetter project)
Daniel Johnston
Radiohead obv
Boards of Canada feels lonely too
I don't think normies will ever understand this kind of music

Ahah is it the real cover ?
i'm used seeing the black bar one.

Sotaisei Riron - Chiffonism
Mikgazer vol.1
Pasteboard - Glitter
blink 182 Self Titled
Mac Demarco - Salad Days
Shibayan Records - Toho Bossa Nova 2
Anatomy Of The Bear
pretty much all of the microphones/ mount eerie albums
Originally, OK Computer.
Been listening to this one for a while now.
No Trend is THE robot band
https://youtu.be/MY79DYD2Y4o
I'm literally the biggest robot on this board and you all have shit taste in music.
Except for possibly this guy >>37500442 but he probably thinks Moonchild is good beyond 2 minutes.
quite a few songs about relationships, but it's mostly about how miserable life is. I'm a 25 year old virgin and listen to this album constantly while shitfaced in my bed
Jerry Paper in general. His lyrics are all depressive INTP trapped in a body type stuff. Wants to feel emotions logically.
>>37501474
>blink 182
Aren't half of those songs about how great highschool was, and women? How can robots embrace that at all?
Tobacco himself is kind of an odd alternative chad, but this album is one of the most melancholy albums I've ever listened to
I'd say pretty much any BoC qualifies as robot music.
Really most "idm" in general
Don't think this one requires much explaining.
>not thinking Yeezus is a masterpiece
>>37502071
I listen to boards of Canada every single fucking day it's truly autist music but it's also perfect background noise for life.
>>37502145
kanye is an autist, but the music he makes is far from being robot tier
pic related is pretty dark and morbid however, much more robotic, his bedwetter release is the only thing that matches it
I took a walk the other day and thought about how things used to be
And then a cloud came into sky it shed on me
And I don't know why, ever since that day I've never been the same
Tired and lonely with no one to blame
And in this bedroom is where I sit cause I don't really don't give a shit
RIP
>>37500710
>Complains about "nigger jungle music"
>Posts shit tier German rock band
At least post a good album you pleb
>>37502001
>being this much of a lyrics cuck
>>37501976
Saw them live in the end of april. Fucking great.
>>37502307
blink 182 is unironically pop-punk garbage and about the furthest thing from robot you could be
you have the taste of a highschool girl
>>37499033
is this "music that /r9k/ listens to" thread or a "music with robot themes" thread
>>37499990
Very good album. Approved for sure
St. Anger is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on June 5, 2003, by Elektra Records
>>37502365
They're a lot more fun than your favorite band.
>>37502501
>unironically listening to metallica after justice for all
>literal bro-normie tier
>(you)
>>37502501
>fun
>robot
also no
>>37502365
I unironically have the taste of a highschool girl. I don't like Blink 182 but I still love Paramore.
>>37502530
was meant for>>37502516
but I was going to comment on how>>37502501
is bait
>>37502546
hey at least you're honest with yourself
nothing wrong with liking music you like
everything this genius ever released
>>37502530
You probably think you're a robot because your boring taste in music leads people to avoid you because the amount of bore contained within your music choices manifests itself in your person.
>>37502652
not in the slightest, i'd say I have pretty interesting taste in music in fact, not to say that I don't listen to some music that the average normie would qualify as "boring" as if that means anything to begin with considering most people have the attention span of a fish
however I avoid/never have opportunities to show anyone what I listen to anyway
i'm not alone because of my taste by any stretch, im alone because most people aren't that interesting to me and I have trouble jus bein myself ;^) and opening up to people at all to begin with
you however, seem like an infantile normie cunt who needs to get the fuck off my board
>>37501625
teardrop is a great song. i wanna listen to this whole album
>>37502249
>expects to be taken seriously while saying that
>>37502876
its really good, unfortunately its also the best in their discography
>>37502091
Its about a depressed normie. I think With Teeth is more r9k tier.
>>37502902
Angel is also amazing
orchestrated originality
>>37502913
i'd call the sort of depression he was in at the time quite a bit deeper than anything a normie feels
he may have a wife and some kids, but idk if he's really a normie, if nothing else he's a manlet who drowned himself in alcohol and heroin and wanted to die
>>37502365
R9K virgin manchildren that whine about tfw no gf everysecond
Yea fuck off
I know this album is considered pretentious but I honestly think Broken windows, locks of love pt. III is the best piece of music ever recorded.
>>37499990
Good pick
>>37499033
? I think this one's alright
>>37499053
Yes, great taste btw.
What do you guys think about Nirvana? I'm pretty sure it's robot approved despite the normie love for it.
>>37503294
Love Nirvana. I was completely obsessed as a teenager. Life changing band for me
>>37503240
STOP POSTING THINGS IVE ALREADY POSTED REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
READ THE THREAD FAGGOT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>37502307
Is this a joke?
Do people actually not listen to the lyrics?
Lyrics are probably like 90% of the reason I enjoy music at all. If it doesnt have Lyrics I have a hard time even paying deeper attention to the sound, and I find it more suitable as background music as I do something else.
>>37503294
The songs the normies love are shit teir, 60% of that album is God teir (and then you have RFUS) the only normie nirvana songs that are good are You know you're right (literally my favorite song) and lithium (alright). Their best is really their obscure stuff like Do re mi and Sappy ect... Bleach is trash tho
>>37503361
>Lyrics are probably like 90% of the reason I enjoy music at all
That's dumb
>>37503336
I'm SORRY ITS FUCKING REQUIRED FOR ME IN ANY GOOD MUSIC THREAD
in other news lets see some god tier symphonies
>>37503328
R u me? I am you.
>>37503363
I agree that their best stuff is the more obscure stuff, VCV and Opinion are two of my favourites. But I still enjoy the normie stuff, give Nevermind another listen without the normie-love attached to it anon, it truly is brilliant.
Also, have you heard this gem?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKwvCN4BmgI
>She has a moist vagina
>I particularly enjoy the circumference
>I'll be sucking the walls of her anus
>>37503361
Lyrics aren't music.
Lyrics are basically an accessory for music. Sure lyrics can be good, and they can certainly add to a song, but they are absolutely never necessary.
>>37503569
If you took any song I enjoy, and removed the lyrics I wouldn't even bother listening to it alone.
I'd probably never bother just laying in bed and listening to music, it really wouldn't invoke the kind of emotions that I like out of music.
Maybe I'm retarded, but I can't really understand what I'm supposed to be enjoying or feeling with music without lyrics, My mind just wanders after picking out the chord progression, that eventually just loops with no variance, Only interesting things are guitar solos
Electronic music is absolutely dull to me.
>>37503660
>Maybe I'm retarded, but I can't really understand what I'm supposed to be enjoying or feeling with music without lyrics
How can you even call yourself a music fan?
>>37500442
I used to work in a planetarium, and this was by far the most popular album to play for the audience between shows
>tfw I'm supposed to be enjoying summer but instead I'm listening to this and fantasizing about wandering in a snowy forest questioning the existence of God.
>>37504052
nigga thats a pokemon
Locomotive Breath is certainly robot tier
>>37504127
Yes, it's a parody of the actual album art.
The album title is in the lower right and also in the filename. You need anything else explained to you?
The Protomen and the mountain goats are robot albums.
Specially Sunset Tree and Tallahassee
>>37503660
>Electronic music is absolutely dull to me
you haven't listened to enough
Is drone a robot genre?
Too normie tier?
real robots love bjork
>>37500574
Nice coincidence -- I'm listening to this album right now
>>37500442
Absolutely god-tier. I love this album

>I'm literally the biggest robot
>you all have shit taste in music
nigga are you 16?
>>37501934

It's alright until the 6 minute mark, then it just kinda falls apart.
Teen Witch by Bone is the robot album
Aphex twin - I care because you do

good choices, needs more lonely/depressing albums
>>37505259
This is probably my favorite Bones album, but it was still lacking something for me.
With Bones' music it's often quantity over quality, and there's something to be said for the guy consistently putting out new music, but that does mean some of it is gonna be kinda lazy.
There were some really emotional moments on that one, and the parts about Columbine were pretty gripping, but then the other half is the same typical swag rap shit he does that gets old quickly.
>>37500738
Jeff is great
I Look Like Shit, Worry, and most btmi are amazing
>>37501101
Fuck yeah Devy.
LIGHTS GO OUT ACROSSSSSSS THE HARBORRRRRRRRRR

Pretty much every Stephin Merritt album.
>>37500708
God I love that one so much
>>37508384
That's a great contribution you just made to the thread, guy.
anyone who doesn't love this album has shit tier taste
>>37501101
This is one of those records that's acclaimed by both the most elitist, snobby prog rock fans and people that are just getting into rock/metal in general. Dude's got five more octaves on a normal human being, second only to Mike Patton.
One of my favorites, I guess.weirdorigurgitating
Manson's early work is pretty robot tier
>>37502071
My nigga. I recommend the flashbulb if you haven't listened to him already.
>>37502247
This.
>>37505885
Not in the slightest, a lot of the album is about being in a relationship, is about as "lonery" as Tumblrites are "introverted".
>>37508373
*lickety splickety starts playing*
OOOH yeah-yeah-yeah Man I got Kurupt (Come on eheheheh eh) Yeah you know I hate it when people say something that they don't do (I can feel ait-feelait-feelait).

>>37503363
Bleach is definitely their best album tho ,':^) For me it's the combination of their more pop stuff with the more obscure tunes on that album. Also the production of the drums which sounds kinda Joy Division-like but also metal, great stuff.
>>37503660
Check out some (revival) surf then m8. Messer Chups, Man or Astro-man, Bambi Molesters. All instrumental but for the most part highly energetic and interesting. Enjoy
