sertraline - my mood improved and symptoms of anxiety might have been reduced, but gave me bad sexual dysfunction

prozac - didn't notice any effects

phenibut - probably helped with anxiety but it's disgusting and gave me nausea for 5-12 hours every time I tried it

kratom - at high doses 5-8grams boosts mood a lot and gives warm tingly sensation, reduces anxiety by making you happier so you don't get negative thoughts. gives a milder nausea and it feels like a recreational drug so I don't use

cannabis - stay away from this shit. often switches my mood into a depressive state. This stuff will make your brain rot.. I can't think of a single use except recreational.

Alcohol - good distraction but not a solution to anything unless you're happy to slowly drink yourself to death

propranalol - works 100% eliminating shaking, increased heart rate. Doesn't do anything for negative thoughts.

I do all three of these besides socialising, outside of the weekly support group I joined in January. There's nothing wrong with admitting I need a boost. I mean fuck I can barely read any more but I'm studying 4 hours a day to catch up and this is not going to someone fix itself if I pretend everything's ok. My brain is fucking fried and I've been trying to get my lazy psychiatrist to write me script for months to lift my mood. I haven't experienced a second of real joy in months. Go fuck yourself.

It's a S.O.S drug for when I get very anxious (I suffer from a very mild OCD)
It's hard for me to say if me life has been improved because of it, I also take 50 mg quetiapine every night and I'm sure it has helped me a little bit in all these years

I didn't mention it in the first post because literally nobody uses it for anything not clinically-related

I keep forgetting that not everyone's here for the same reason. I also have OCD but mine canbe pretty severe, but it always eventually went away and I never fully knew how much the SSRI's helped. It took me too long to figure out you need to be able to recognise ocd thoughts right away or it's easy to fuck yourself up for months.

i dont think people should mess with drugs unless they are about to kill themselves anyways. at least not if their personality is like mine. im addiction bait. i went full heroin for a while at one point. i regularly do kratom instead now. not as good but obviously better and cheaper. i buy a fifth here and there and kill the whole thing. i also do some kind of stim a few times a week. kratom is the main thing i need. i get sick without opioids. sometimes i really get dependent on gaba drugs and get restless and anxiety and suicidal thoughts until i tranquilize myself. but i guess if you want to go down the fucked up path
stims and benzos both help in social situations albiet differently. and only some stims do. others make you paranoid. they make you actually enjoy talking. benzos make you not give a shit about what you say
i also recommend robots stay away from psychadellics. you'll spend the whole time in thought loops hating yourself if you have poor self image
on the other hand, for being alone, dissos are great for robots. it spaces you the fuck out and kind of gives an ego boost and i dont wanna kms when im on them. any other drug i can still think about suicide.

how are you not addicted? ive used benzos at a pretty light amount (avg 1mg xan equiv per day) and i get some wds that go away if i use them. drinking might contribute though since it is also GABA. i like them for the reason i like drinking. im often a worry ball and hate myself and it makes it stop. i feel like a scuzbag for abusing stuff though. also thw memory issues. my memory is pretty razor sharp and i feel like a dementia patient sometimes. fuck

i struggle with this debate. i have trouble enjoying life even long periods sober. i have friends and a gf and am in grad school and stuff too still just miserable. drugs dont totally make me not miserable though. they make large parta of time better and others shit. stims basically enable me to stop being lazy too.
