I quit a month and a half ago.
I just stopped one day, it was a struggle up until then. I know what it's like to not even know what to do without weed, but the best way is to just do what you do without it. It helps to acknowledge the negative qualities of it. No matter what other stoners say, you're lungs are getting worse, you can still get a collapsed lung, weed affects testosterone levels, eats your money, makes you a degenerate who's opinion doesn't mean shit because you're dependant over nothing essentially, etc.
Go run or ride a bike. The next day drink some beer. Hard A will give you a hangover.
Don't wean off, it's a battle you can't win because your tolerance will go down over even a day, and your next hit will be better than it needs to be. Just say "it's easy, stop being a bitch."

I have a pothead friend who used to literally smoke weed every day for years.
He tried to quit cold turkey for a year but lost at the 9 month mark to peer pressure.
He went back to being pothead mode, used all his financial aid on weed. Hes doing the cold turkey thing again. I think its 6 months now.

Im not saying it will solve your addiction but when hes doing the cold turkey thing hes always mentioning how good it feels to be off it, how his mind is so clear etc.
