Question for those born in 1995-1997(cusp of Millennials and Gen Z).
Do you associate your childhood more closely with Millennial things like Blockbuster, Jimmy neutron, Recess, The Weekenders, Invader sim, Yu gi oh, PS1, PS2, N64, Pokemon Gens 1-3, Gorillaz, Discman, Malcolm in the middle, Cyberchase, Tamagotchi, Osmosis Jones, Kim Possible, playing outside, remembering 9/11, and having crushes on Avril lavigne, Britney spears, Jenny wakeman, and the Dark magician girl?
Or Gen Z things like streaming movies on Netflix, CN Real, Hannah Montana, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, Bakugan, The Dark knight, Pokemon Gens 4-6, Justin Bieber, Twilight, Chowder, Marvelous misadventures of Flapjack, Adventure Time, Silly bandz, not playing outside, not remembering 9/11, and having crushes on Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, and "thick cream-filled qt trapbois" - NOT girls, because Vice and Huffingtonpost told you it was "hip" and "cool" to be gay?
1995 here and I recognize more of the stuff from the millennial section so I associate more with that.
>tfw I used to like Jimmy neutron because he was a smart kid with a Giant head and I'm a "smart" kid with a big head

1995 and millennials mostly
1995, I identify with the millenial stuff.
Gold was my first Pokemon game, PSX was my first console, YuGiOh was the hottest flavour of the month, you know the story.

1997 here. Here's what I associate my childhood with.
>Blockbuster
>Jimmy Neutron
>Recess (Watched the movie twice in theaters)
>Yu Gi Oh
>PS1
>PS2
>N64
>Pokemon Gen 1
>Gorillaz
>Cyberchase
>Osmosis Jones
>Kim Possibile
>Playing outside with razor scooters
>Didn't know what 9/11 was all about
>Didn't crush on either of those girls but crushed on Amanda Bynes and Jamie Lynn spears
A lot of the Gen Z stuff was more middle school tier when my childhood was over.
1995 and all the first list
I feel like the second list is more 1999-2001 honestly, as my little sister was born in 2000 and that's more what her childhood was like.
>>37475889
1998 here
Don't find myself in any of those lists
>>37475889
1997, mix of the two.
>>37475889

1997 here, grew up in a very typical suburb (Toronto). Some shows weren't played in Canada so i just don't know them

I never actually played/watched Yugioh, but most of my friends did, as an alternative to pokemon. I was obsessed with pokemon, though
I did go to Europe every 2 years to visit relatives and i would pick up like 10 bootleg winged dragons of ra and blue eyes white dragons, then i'd come back to canada and sell them
>>37475889
1997 here. My childhood largely made up of the Millennial stuff you posted.
1996, the millennial stuff.
>>37475889
>"thick cream-filled qt trapbois" - NOT girls, because Vice and Huffingtonpost told you it was "hip" and "cool" to be gay?
What did he mean by this?
>>37478712
Who would you rather have sex with: Harry styles or Dark magician girl?
If you pick the former, your Gen Z. If the latter, Millennial.
>>37475983
Can you wear hats? I feel like a freak it's so embarrassing if someone tries to be cute and give me a hat and i fucking stretch it so tight
>>37479082

>>37478747
>>37478712

96
Millennial stuff but I was familiar with a lot of the other stuff
>>37481197
Avril lavigne or Justin bieber, which one would rather have sex with?
If the former, you're Millennial. If the latter, Gen Z.
>>37475889
Born in 1998 here, call me a shitbag for posting anyways. I definitely associate the former things with my childhood more than the latter. The most fun parts of my childhood were pre 2008. I would say that the wii is the only thing from the second category that was really important to me. In my early teenage years was when I picked up PC gaming so none of the other stuff was relevant.
Also, being someone who is right on the cusp between these, I have to say that the second category is missing iPod touches. When I was 11-14 was when every kid started getting them and they essentially replaced handheld consoles.

Would you rather have sex with Avril lavigne or a trap catboy?
If the former, you're Millennials. If the latter, you're Gen Z.
