Who else smiles with mouth closed here?
How has it affected your life?
Why were your parents so negligent?
I have been smiling with my mouth closed for obvious reasons most of my life, at 25 years old now. Parents were divorced, which made them careless about these sorts of things.
Just got a salary job and hoping the dental benefits from this job can finally help me in fixing my teeth. I believe this is one of the reason people have a hard time looking me in the face during conversations face to face. This is one of many reasons im so self concious of myself.

my teeth are mostly okay, slightly yellow stained if i had money i'd get it fixed
but i still smile with my mouth closed. really all i do when i smile is turn up the right corner of my mouth slightly. that's just how ive always smiled since i was a little one. smiling more than that now makes my face sore.
as for how it affects my life, most people think im always sad or angry or annoyed until they realize that the turned-up corner is the biggest smile i can give. then they realize that i smile pretty often.
I didn't even realise people actually smiled showing their teeths outside of movies. No one around me smiles like that, and as far as I can tell we all have alright teeths.
My face looks awkward otherwise

I had braces when I was younger, so my teeth are really straight now. Yet i still smile with my mouth closed. Maybe that's why I'm a khv. Don't really care enough to change it though.

I can't smile with teeth

pretty sure 100% of people smile with their mouth closed
if you don't ever do this, you're weird

Imo if someone's showing as much teeth as possible when smiling it looks fake as hell.

No but I wish I did because I habitually smile with my mouth open and my teeth are pretty fucked
They weren't negligent. I had braces, but my underbite is large enough that tilting the front teeth wasn't an option, and I didn't want jaw surgery.
Also they constantly nagged me to brush my teeth, but it's not like they could brush them for me.

My parents werent negligent, they sank like 3k into braces for me, or however much they normally cost
but i never wore my retained, tried meth a few times, now they're all rotting out of my head at 32
