I know that feel. I'm also not as suicidal as I was in those days. I have a hard time seeing at night and that makes going touge at unpopulated hours when you can go above 7/10 safely a hard task. Stuck with track days with normies these days.

Oh man, you sound so much like me that I almost wondered if I'd replied to myself and forgotten about it.

I love the track itself, even more than the canyons, but trackdays kind of blow. There's like an 8/10 chance you'll spend all day stuck behind some asshole who holds you up in every corner but has a car just fast enough that you can't pass on the straights, and those kinds of drivers can't be trusted to be safely passed in the corners. I want to do real racing so bad but I'll probably never be able to afford it, and I want to buy a plane instead of a race car anyway.

I'll just pull into the pits if I get held up by a driver and then come back out when it clears up. I'm still in the point by group. My car has a lot of power so I have no problem passing but I still get annoyed when people point me by and don't let off the gas.

The trackdays around me are so damn overcrowded that the pits don't help much.

I kind of wish I had a more powerful car, but the running costs scale so hard with speed and I enjoy the feeling of BTFOing fast cars with a slow one.
