I unironically enjoy this fucking meme music. I never lived in that era, but it gives me a sense of nostalgia for some stupid reason. Maybe because my dad did listen to this kind of music and showed me movies from then.

I dont understand why people call it meme music
>>37441732
You feel connected to memories you never lived.
I enjoy the genre too, it's peaceful and somewhat unsettling at the same time. Good for times like right now where it's late and I'm just browsing.
Its now mainstream anon. It has a pandora station. Same with synthwave.

Why do normies have to poop and shit everywhere

I've liked vaporwave since 2013-2014, but Saint Pepsi led me more into Future Funk territory.
Mostly listen to FF, lo-fi, vaportrap, and french house nowadays.

Same story here. It's an odd feeling. Makes me wish I had experienced 90's lower middle class NYC or Tokyo as a kid.

Yeah I was born in 91 and grew up in rural Canada. Hoping to go to those big cities on my own one day.

There is nothing more comfy than vaporwave, it's the ultimate music for tired and decadent souls
I was born in '85, so I missed out on the 80's, but for some reason even as a kid if I ever heard 80's synth music, especially ambient, it would send me into states of nostalgia.
A couple of times in class during the 90's and even 2000's a teacher would haul out a TV and VHS and play a documentary of some sort from the 80's and the music would make me emotional for the rest of the day.
In 2001 I inherited a copy of Anthony Robbins' 'Personal Power II', and discovered the music on the 'subliminal programming' CD's, which I would listen to for years because it gave me comfy feels.
Now I quite like a bit synthwave\vaporwave\retro. Favourite album in the past few years was GUNSHIP.
This is some of the Anthony Robbins music (shame they don't have the rest on YT): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIV1LiPmk78

You can thank me at the resurrection.
more of a future funk kinda guy, but wus gud?

Why does everyone say that they "unironically" like vaporwave? Because It's a meme now?
Vaporwave was cool a few years ago when it was shiny and new. It's so overdone now, the same shitty song over and over and the stupid "a e s t h e t i c XD" with the grids and dolphins.

Macintosh Plus is the name Vektroid adopted for Floral Shoppe. The rest of her stuff is really good.
Aside from that, 2 8 1 4 and most of the stuff on Dream Catalog are also great.

If we're including Future Funk, check out Macross 82-99.
