Just bought Bloodborne GotY edition. What am I in for robots?

I've never had ps plus and I put in over 100 hours in it. You can't co-op or pvp without plus, if that matters to you. I only bought the standard edition because it was before the dlc even came out

Nice, I don't care for PvP or Co-op, if anything when I played DS2 it was fucking distracting, especially getting gank'd by shitty invading spirits during an important moment.

I heard the DLC has a shitload more weapons and it was only $20 difference so I thought the investment was worth it.

Can't say unfortunately. I've also heard it's good though. I never cared for multiplayer at all. The games are fun because of their exploration, combat and atmosphere and bloodborne is up there with the best in that regard. It may be my favorite from soft game actually

It's challenging. If you're used to hiding behind a shield, you're going to be in for a rude awakening. Having to farm blood vials when you run out from dying is the only bad thing. It's just as rewarding as the souls games though

The DLC is very good. Has 5 new boss fights (1 optional) 3 of which are spectacular. And if I remember correctly the base game has somewhere between 10-20 weapons and the DLC adds about 10 more to that list.

Dex with the chain whip is objectively the best build for a first run. There are a lot of enemies that go down a lot easier thanks to the whip's vertical reach alone.

Enemies are faster and more aggressive, so while not relying on shields will help you, the enemies will keep you on your toes. My first play through I just dumped it all into health and stamina while getting weapon requirements to try them out. I used the cleaver mostly. Second play through was Dex with whip, third was str with the kirkhammer

The inclusion of the Hunter Chief Emblem suggests that the developers expected you to get lost desu. Theres a few optional areas that I wouldn't blame anyone for missing, nothing as bad as the entry to DS1's dlc mind you.

Like the souls games, any weapon can carry you through the game. You have access to all of them eventually so it doesn't matter too much. The came is fine. It's pretty fun
