That's a new one to me, and I'm a Califag, but I don't go much further south than San Jose very often (I generally travel north when I'm roadtripping.)

I'm normally not a big fan of Great Basin personally, but their Tectonic Event is some incredible stuff. Runner-up: Midnight Sun's Moscow Russian imperial stout.

Used to drink it back around '12 or so when I was poor and depressed. Now I make enough money to buy faggy craft beers, so I do. Why would I drink yak piss if I can afford good stuff?

Also, cheap booze like Steel makes me feel like shit when I'm drunk on it, probably the fluorides in the water or something. But a good beer from a small brewery feels good, even leaving aside the taste.

I've only had beer a few times and I've always hated it. I've alwas felt like vomiting before I finish my fourth can, sometimes even partway through my first can. However, I've only had cheap shitty beers like Kokanee and Corona. Will I be able to enjoy higher quality beer if I try it or am I destined to never be able to enjoy beer?

Yes, but don't force yourself to like it. I'm on the opposite end- I tried my hardest to like wine and tried all sorts but it just disgusts me. Beer on the other hand, I like.

If you don't like it it's actually a positive in my mind, because it's not actually that healthy for you and can also be a costly habit. So you're saving money and such by not buying it if you don't like it ultimately.

Although I fucking LOVE beer, I haven't really tried that many different brands yet. However, from what I've tried, the best one was the Leffe blond. Holy fuck, that beer is so fucking good. Even then, I'm pretty sure that there must be even better ones out there, and I'm looking forward to trying them someday!

Don't know that I have one single favorite beer, but I really like oktoberfests and wish they were available year-round. I also tend to like winter seasonal offerings. All I know is fuck hops.

(For the record, I've both never been to Hitlerland and had theirs, nor am I really a tremendous huge fan of Oktoberfest brews to begin with.)

Not too light, not too dark, not too hoppy, not too malty, not too sweet, not too sour. Its not the greatest beer but its my favourite because its a nice balance of whatever you want. Its always good, whereas sometimes you just don't want a stout or an ipa.

Plus its available at nearly every pub or bar where I live, so if I want something familiar its usually there.
