When I was younger and in a 3rd world country where I originally grew up, everyone had a maid. It was just normal and cheap. Usually they'd look for the older or ugly ones to avoid temptation for the husbands, but if a household didn't have one like in my case (dad was in the US working), there was no harm in hiring a young pretty one.
