Kek. My parents have tried to hint at me that girls like guys who have cars. I'm not going to get a car just so I could get a gf. Its way more cost effective for me to just take a cab in those rare events that I actually need to get somewhere that I can't reach by foot, bicycle or by public transit

I've been telling my parents I've been dating off and on, nothing seriously. They never questioned it so all went well until they insisted I bring my girlfriend to a family BBQ. Had to pay a female friend of a friend $100 to pretend she was my girlfriend.
