If you're not doing anything memorable of course your memory will deteriorate

My long term memory is pretty reasonable but I can't even get to the end of a question without forgetting the beginning

What I think and what I really think are often opposite.

I have a very peculiar memory.
My long-term memory, if formed well, is like it's chiseled in stone and I have pretty good recall.
Short term can get iffy, suppose as a result of being a habitual drunk, but I never really black out, unless sleep deprivation is mixed with copious liquor.
A good example:
>be me, started a new job roughly 3 years ago
>having a random conversation with my manager
>says he had a dream where he had a daughter named Isabelle
>to this day I can recall this shit and he claims he never told anyone about it
I'm terrible with numeric memorization, though. The only things I have memorized are my phone number, my mom and brother's phone number, my social and driver's license and the CVV No. and expiration date on my debit card. I used to be able to remember the phone numbers of all my friends, the full number on my credit/debit cards, my bank account No., etc...
Time also seems to pass faster the older I get - turn 27 this year and my 20s seemed like a blur.
