smoking gives you spots/zits, it took me an embarrassingly long time to work this out, i was well into my 20s before i realised that smoking too much gives you bad complexion, cut that shit down anons, or at least drink more water to piss all the toxins out instead of letting them seep out through your face

i frequently get pimples on my arms. Like really big ones

Holy shit anons, sleeping with a clean towel on your pillow actually helps with acne. I noticed that most of my zits appear at night and since I started doing this I'm noticeably clearer.

I have cafe au lait spots, they are permanent, I think you robots will be okay.

It's called keratosis pilaris. I got rid of mine by buying alpha hydroxy lotion (it's for the face) on amazon and rubbing it twice a day. Exfoliating will also help. It'll come back eventually, but not for a few months or so. Just redo the lotion and exfoliation and you'll be good.

Unfortunately for me, I have psoriasis. No cure, treatments involve topical steroids, shots with huge side effects or a special tanning bed. I'm using steroids, but I ran out and my fucking insurance is taking forever on approving it (otherwise it's 300 dollars for a tiny tube).

I have it on my scalp which is embarassing as it looks like flakes. I also have it on my body.

Fuck my life, hate this shit.

Got loads of blackheads on my nose, some on my cheeks near my nose and a bit on my forehead again nearer my nose.
I think years of obsessively squeezing them out may have fucked my skin and made my nose bigger.

Also, still get acne on my face no matter how well I clean it, or how often I change my pillowcase, or stop touching my face.

What is it called? I use two medicines which are the same, called bethamethasone diproportionate (augmented, 0.05%). One is a lotion (watery) that I apply to my scalp, while the other is an ointment.

The doctor told me it was super strong, but it's the only thing that makes my psoraisis go away.

I heard fish oil helps, but unfortunately I haven't been as disciplined in taking it consistently to notice a difference.

You ever think about how if we lived back in the day...we would be cast aside because we would be considered lizard people?

As for exfoliation, try using a loofah and whatever scrub smells good (as long as it's abrasive).

My psoriasis is pretty noticable, because when I don't have my medicine the patches flare up. It's especially noticable on my scalp, because I get a bunch of dandruff I have to be aware of. Getting a haircut is a nightmare. Been trying to hold off until I get my medicine back but I start a new job on Monday and I need a haircut before then. Unfortunately, my medicine is being put on hold.

Try to remove the pimples and get your skin flat with the cloth. Then the alcohol so disinfect and try and stop more from coming
You'll have cuts on your face but when they heal should be smooth
Make sure to wash that part of your face with soap so oil doesn't build up and make them come back because my method is extremely unpleasant you probably won't want to do it twice

One thing I forgot to mention - you'll notice the Alpha hydroxy is rated at 10%. There are other lotions where it's rated at 12% or even up to 15% I think. When I ran out of 10%, I bought 12% (thinking that stronger AHA = more effectiveness) but for whatever reason, the 12% had almost no effect on me. I switched back to 10% and my skin responded best to that.

Doubt psoriasis existed until a couple hundred years ago. I've always theorised its one of those things that has come around as part of humanity generally getting more poorly balanced immune systems (since its treated with corticosteroids i gather it must be some kind of immune disorder)

I personally have rosacea/psoriasis/dermatitis/whatever in my nose arms and ears. I usually just get asked if im sunburned as it varies from flaky to non-flaky but red

Had cystic acne as a teen, but couldn't get accutane. Face got fucked up and is now covered in acne scars.
I also have over 100 moles spread out over my body.
