I've got a minor crisis boys.

At the moment, I do about 28 hours a week as a teaching assistant. Super comfy job that I like. However, there's just opened up a job at the bargain booze that I live next to that my mum wants me to apply for to boost my hours.

I actually quite like the shop, but I don't like the idea of working split shift hours. I know I'll work in school from like 8-2, then I'll have a few hours off, then back into work at the shop.

She says it'll be good to earn the extra money, and that it'll keep me busy in the summer holidays (6 weeks paid vacation from school), but I really don't want to work at another shitty retail job. I did it once, and I don't want to go back to doing it again.

But I know if I don't apply, she'll give me a hard time about it and be dissapointed

I use to drink cherry cider before it was discontinued and the last place that sold it was bargain booze. Used to buy four bottles every Friday from the same store. Eh, I can't decide mate. I have friends who live in Denmark, and I'm in talks with them about going over there for a week. I met them on WoW about 12 years ago, and kept in regular touch ever since then. It'd be nice to go to a cool looking country, and finally meet some top lads that I've known for over a decade.

Part of me wants to go to Japan/Korea, but it's pretty nerve wracking. At least if I go to Europe, there's a strong chance that a lot of people speak English- and as a first time traveller, I want that.

My trip to Denmark was only really gonna be for 5-7 days. Enough time to spend time with my friends and see some sights, then come back home.

I think one of the biggest worries I have about going to SE Asia is just getting around. I obv don't speak their language, so things like getting taxis/trains and getting to cool places seems super overwhelming.

It's what's put me off applying for the JET programme, even though I know I'd be a good applicant- The simple aspect of day to day life makes me nervous.
