All my shitty coworkers are stupid teen stacies who call out everyday and leave me to make up their work
>>37359457
Retail is a living hell
if you're not on salary you're not human.
What jobs make you do overtime? Wouldn't the company be in trouble if you spend more than 5-10 minutes over the clock?
>>37359502
This is the attitude of most cunt customers.
I don't get what these faces are meant to convey. Do you guys not love overtime? I get +50% on my base wage when working overtime, so, pretty amazing.
just knew i had the fitting image
>>37359457
That's illegal you stupid fuck. Report your boss
>>37359554

>>37359551
why should we treat niggers like they're human? if you're making under the median income for a person in your country you're a nigger.
>>37359350
To be quite frank, this is mfw
>>37359597
I feel like you are harbouring a lot of hate due to little to no education which is not your fault...like they say ignorance is bliss.
>>37359409
tfw when you're eating tendies off of a paper plate
>tfw too incompetent to be asked to do overtime, but not too incompetent to lose my job
Yesssss. More money to save away. Maybe I'll get some Thai food and order a gundam kit as a treat.
>can you stay on tonight?
>no
>please
>no
got home on time to enjoy a bottle of wine and a curry
>>37359684
I'm jelly. I can never find that halfway point between getting fired and work not being able to do anything without me.
>>37359350
I'm $25 an hour and that shit adds up well when time and a half is factored in. Not ideal way of spending the evening night but that cash makes it worth it.
>>37359529
The financial crisis has set the job market 100 years back. People are desperate so employers can easily demand more work for less pay. And if you're not willing to do it, someone else is.
>>37359553
It's usually unpaid overtime.
>>37359817
>It's usually unpaid overtime.
What does that mean? You don't get paid for your time at all?
>>37359752
I started off super hardworking, but now I'm just riding the line of mediocrity. I find it's about not working, I'm still good with my previous agency who got me this job so if I get canned I can still stay afloat
>>37359878
Here's an example. Let's say that you're supposed to get $5 per hour. If you work overtime, the law says that you should be paid double for those extra hours, which means $10 per every extra hour. Usually this rule doesn't apply and you still get $5 per every extra hour.
>>37360109
>Usually this rule doesn't apply and you still get $5 per every extra hour.
Why doesn't it apply?
>>37359878
It depends. Some people get paid their normal hourly rate. Others, like truckers, get told to lie on their logs and will literally not be paid for that time.
>>37360162
sounds like a good way to get shanked by a trucker
>>37360137
Like I said, the employers took advantage of the situation that the 2008 crash created and threw all the rules out the window.
>shift is from 12 to "business decline"
>we're slammed all day because it's summer
>I end up going home at 9
>>37359720
>2 weeks later
Anon, I'm afraid we're going to have to let you go.
>>37360647
so, no overtime at all?
>Get paid twice as much for the same job
Yeah what a cuck
>>37360745
I was already getting holiday pay, so my managers jewed me out of overtime pay
>>37360782
>twice
>1.5x more
Nice try wagie, back to the pits with you!
>>37359350
NEED SAUCE NAOHHHHH!
>>37359350
IRL ahegao makes me moist
>>37360162
A huge amount of truck drivers have electronic logs nowadays and since you get paid by how many miles you make, truck drivers aren't always opposed to the idea of lying on their logs.
Either way, you're in the truck every day for weeks at a time with only 10 hours off between each shifts. It's worth it to just drive and kill the time as well as making more money.
>>37359771
What do you do for a living anon? 25 per hour sounds nice
If it comes out of nowhere it's very troubling and activates my autism. Broadly though, my life is a ponderous march towards death so I'm thankful for some work to do between therapy sessions and the odd binge drink.
