Greetings Gentlemen,
What anime have you seen lately and what did you think of it?
witch hunter robin
boring as hell but very comfy
>>37358252
Ah, a Sunrise classic. I guess there's been more interesting takes on the genre since then. Watching Orphen now, from about the same era.
>>37358252
Not much boring as Aria.
>>37358464
Are you thinking of gondolier Aria or the action Aria?
>>37358519
Gondolier A R I A
>>37358574
Yea, it's sort of designed to be slow and about nothing special though. Dunno if the manga elaborates more on it, but it's a bit off that they need some old Venice town with gondolas when they have the tech to control weather, migrate to and terraform other planets
>>37358687
I'm not against manga/anime when nothing is happening but with ARIA, it's different.
They all act stupidly and they all are in joy in all episodes.
>>37359111
Hands down I enjoyed it, but I have an idea what you mean.
>>37359209
Did you watched Galaxy Express 999 ?
>>37359291
Aye, it's one of my all time favourites. It drags on a bit and many episodes are a bit repetitive, they just visit a new planet and someone needs saving from someone but the ending had me breaking down completely. Did you ever understand who or what Maetel was btw? She sort of showed a few characters and they were pretty taken back but the viewer never got to see it.
Just watching some airing ones right now.
>eromanga sensei
Kinda shit. Sagiri's cuteness is literally the only thing keeping me from dropping this right now.
>attack on titan
Really liking it so far actually.
>rokuaka
Pretty good. MC is a certified bro. The other characters are kinda bland but decent fap material.
Just got around to watching both seasons of Konosuba. Better than I expected, but nothing amazing. I kinda feel like this whole alternate world schtick has maxed out it's potential by now.
>>37359430
Ah, haven't kept up much with the current season. Also following AoT though, been pretty satisfied with it so far too, even a bit surprised considering how badly slated it has been.
Been watching Kuzu no Honkai. it's good but it crushes me with each episode.
>>37359382
It's my favourite anime too.
And I only watched 93 episodes because I watch the anime in Japanese subba in French because the show stopped to translate years ago.
I know what's happening at the end but I prefer to not talking about that to not be more disgust.
And yes, it's very repetitive ; but the secret is to not rush it.
Pheww
Saw Koe No Katachi yesterday. I cried like a little baby. It dragged on a bit too long imo, but I loved it anyway
>>37359564
Shan't spoil any more for you, I really hope you get to see the last episodes some day though because it's brilliant, and yea, many shows from that age require a bit of slow watching, same with Lupin III. If you want something with the same art style Space Pirate Captain Harlock is very close. Is the french sub scene big? I notice it when looking for stuff to download at times, there may often be a "VOSTFR" version around.
>>37359448
Not seen yet, Kadokawa seem to be doing that genre decently though.
>>37359544
Betting my rarest pepe they'll get together in the end
>>37359740
they probably will, and bring everyone down to Akane's level with them
>>37357992
Currently watching the Evangelion Rebuilds. I think I'm growing to like them more then NGE.
I've been enjoying this future classic myself
Pumpkin scissors.
Halfway through but this series is just not grabbing my attention
>>37359740
>If you want something with the same art style Space Pirate Captain Harlock
Because it's the same author: Leiji Matsumoto.
>Is the french sub scene big
Of course. And many new anime subs are shout down because the subs market on internet isn't too much developed (wakanim...), so many fans translate new animes and many old anime too (it's easier).
>>37359827
Well damn, does it have anything original compared to the first Naruto run? By the looks of it there's another typical trio a'la Naruto - Sakura - Sasuke or Tsunade - Jiraya - Orochi...
>>37357992
>konosuba
it was ok, managed to make me laugh more than a few times, darkness a qt
>oregairu
didn't like it, every dialogue just turns into some kind of goofy and awkward lecture on sociology
>kaguya-hime no monogatari
absolutely brilliant
>>37359917
It's the same shit again, but for now it's got that comfy Chuunin exam feel where they're just having shenanigans and having fun with a through line of looming threats. That said it's ten episodes in and they're already cracking on with the fucking chosen one narrative.
>>37359827
I know I'm getting old when narutos kid has his own show. I haven't even made it past the chunin exams
>>37359965
Tbh as you head into Shippuuden there are some increasingly rare good bits but it gets exponentially shittier as the powerlevels go through the roof and very few characters remain relevant because of how preposterously OP Naruto becomes
>>37359857
I think that's pretty much the consensus about it too, great potential, excellent choice of setting but it turned out a bit bland.
