Hitler and religion was a tricky thing. he wasn't an Athiest, nor was he Christian, he technically was Catholic.
he was okay with Christianity, but he didn't take too kindly to churches.

basically you have to understand Nazis. they want to dominate socially, that's why they were called national socialists. they want you to be a Nazi, fight for the nation, join military service, this is why Hitler persecuted Jehovah's Witnesses; military service is against their religion and joining political groups is shunned.

In Nazi Germany they had a denomination called "God-believing" which meant people who believed in a higher being without adhering to the teachings of a particular church, I suppose Hitler was one of them because he was clearly a believer but not particularily sympathetic towards either organised churches.
