What type of girls do long-haired guys attract?

Oh, dear Robot fellow, it is true, indeed. Hipster and nerd girls are orbiting around them.
>>
>>37346494
i cant tell if this is sarcasm or not
>>
>>37346523
It ain't sarcasm. Recently (yesterday), a friend of mine (a metalhead, nonetheless) managed to get into a relationship with a nerdy girl I liked in a very, very obvious way some months ago. Thankfully, now I don't feel anything towards her anymore, though it still feels like shit that, again, I'm being let down.
>>
>>37346369
i have natural black hair, long, dreaded.
most gfs have been 'modern hippy' type, scene girls and metal chicks. always with piercings or/and tattoos. one time, ever, when i was 24 ish, there was an exception and it didnt last long. some girl next door friend of a friend deal.
>>
>>37346369
As a long-haired guy I can tell you I attract nobody.
>>
>>37346870
what do you do with yourself in life? whats your basic appearance?
>>
None. Speaking from experience.
>>
>>37346988
sit at home and go to work. I literally look like jesus.
>>
Having long hair won't automatically have girls lust after you. Being attractive will get girls to be attracted to you, anything else you do doesn't really matter.

Looks are everything.
>>
>>37347151
jesus aint a bad look. i see plenty of jebors with gf. do you drink, smoke, get high? hobbies? city or small town? sorry if i am prying

There seems to be a common pattern of young men looking like Jesus and dropping out of the social world past living necessities.

All good. I know why I'm alone anyway, and it's nothing to do with my looks. I'm just one of those men too timid and boring to go anywhere in life. Pic related sums it up.
>>
>>37347251
>and dropping out of the social world past living necessities.
That really sums it up nicely. I just exist and that's it. The jesus look is pretty obvious though, once you care less about grooming your hair and beard tend to grow out.

I've had long hair my whole life, usually a bit shorter than to the shoulder. Honestly I wouldn't ever have it any other way, it makes me feel unique, like I'm my own person and not just another sheep in the crowd.

I'm sure this comes off rather autistic but it's how I feel, short hair is such a copy pasted look, boring, dull, when I see someone else with long hair I feel like there's a real personality underneath that head of hair.

>what do you think is stopping you from meeting someone interested in you?
I don't know how to interact positively with others and I'm terrified of expressing my opinions or showing that I like something or someone. Even if someone explicitly likes me I don't know what to do. Socialisation with other people of any description feels foreign makes me uncomfortable, despite the fact that I still crave it. Of course I'd like to meet a girl but I know the person I am is not capable of a relationship.
>>
>>37348203
Engineering. The discipline I'm in has a decent amount of females (aka not EE) but no one shows interest past social pleasantries of talking about classes and projects etc
>>
I'm long-haired, but that has not attracted anything. Maybe a few likes on tinder from metal chicks, but those things never work out.

None. Then again, I'm ugly, skinny, have bad skin and dress like a retard. Plus I don't keep my hair nice, it's either too greasy or too dry but I just can't seem to care enough to correct it.

Long hair has little to do with anything. If you are pretty you'll be regardless of hair length, same as if you are ugly.

I've heard longer hair in men is repulsive to a large amount of women, but those that like it are willing to let slide bad aspects of you if that means getting a man with long hair. Same thing applies for any particular fetish one has: hair color, height, tattoos, etc. I can't say I've experienced it.
>>
>>37348250
it seems right maybe even romantic in a way, but personal experience has told me that i dont want a partner who has the same profession as i do. thats because ive learnt that talking about work rarely interests a woman. even if it does, its probably the least interesting thing to her about you. as a rule i never talk about work to my partners unless they ask, and i always keep it quick. and i have been lucky to have had some interesting jobs. do you go ok with small talk and shit at part time job? if youre doing engineering you must be at least somewhat intelligent.

>>37348240
i have dealt with that feeling my whole life. i still deal with it. for me, the answer has been to focus myself on what i can do, myself, that i enjoy. eventually you will be in other peoples orbit simply vecause you share an interest. from there can grow curiosity, fascination with differences, thoughts. if that process is awkward then it probably isnt with the right person. but it does happen. happened to my socially retarded ass several times now.

>>37348240
>>37348250

hobbies? interests? eg. what books, food, music, art, video games do you like? how about sport, nature? fuck, what do you google when you have no obligations?

>hobbies? interests? eg. what books, food, music, art, video games do you like? how about sport, nature? fuck, what do you google when you have no obligations?
Well if we really stretch it out I like reading standard fantasy trash, drawing and programming. The reality is I almost never do any of this and when I do I still can't manage to have a conversation about it. I went to a psychologist once and he had similar tastes in books as me (or at least he pretended to) so he'd loan me his stuff and then spend the next session trying to prod a conversation about it out of me. I never really figured it out, even if I was enjoying the stuff he gave me.
>>
>>37348576
sorry are you engineering anon or less identifiable anon? no disrespect either way.

the first girl who took me away (feels etc) i met randomly in public. she just looked cute and about as uncomfortable in public as i was. i asked to her for her number so i could take her to a show. she bailed and i was kinda glad because i have no idea how the fuck to date women. still dont. but through texting and failing to have dates we both discovered (through our excuses what we were doing each day) that we both loved reading, listening to quiet music and not talking to peolle or being sround them. i cant explain how it came to be but we both ended up 'hiding' behind/with each other and hanging out away from the world. literally reading and nap times. end result was 5 years of amazing, including travel, and a phase where we tried almost every upper and psychadelic we stumbled across. we pwrted ways amicably, i vpcried for 3 months and and now honestly grsteful for the entire experience, even the end. not everyone wants a rollercoaster of love and achievements. we live in a fucked up world. some people just want a friend to love.
>>
>>37348688
>less identifiable anon
yeah that's me kek. It sounds like you had a good ride but the concept is so far away from my reality that it's not even something I reach for. Looking for a woman is to me as realistic as gaining magic powers.
>>
Yeah long hair asian here
only white hipsters mostly
>>
>>37348755
thats my poimt. dont look for a woman. look for you. if you find yourself, and you are happy with that person, women (and men, platonically) will be drawn to your love of yourself, however subtle. then one day you can wake up next to a gril and post on here about your gf problems :)

and i only called you less identifiable anon because you have given me less to go on. maybe its my personality type but that in itself draws me to learn you, unravel a little and know you a bit. you gabemt hurt me so i dont want to hurt you. emotionally, i now want the best for you.

it was a good ride. when it ended i comitted myself to being grsteful for it and just going about my childish-ass life to the extent that at least i was amused and passing my time. the long term relationships ive had (2+ years in my book) and random hookups have all come about because of where i was because i was following my solitudal (is that even a word?) passions and interests, and randomly crossed a path with someone else who shard at the very least, that interest.

>if you find yourself,
I'm a shutin with solitary hobbies that don't lend themselves to meeting others at all (and I don't bother with them 99% of the time). I don't know how to put it, I'm just not a pleasant or interesting person to talk to 1-on-1. Becoming a person who could potentially meet and date women would require radical changes, well beyond what I'm capable of.

>>
>>37349024
im not a dateable person either. thats why i dont. in my 30s now and i eludes me as to how that game is played. just remember to smile at women who smile at you, and if you are nervous as shit, fucking say so. she may just say so too. forget anything youve seen in movies about the 'tragic dude meeting his love by surprise through some perilous journey of conflict and self discpvery'. forget pick up lines and scoring etc. forget there is a thing they call dating. none of my longer term girlfriends ever did the dating game. all the short terms and one nighters were a direct result of my fuckassed attempts to enter the dsting world. forget that there is a scene. know that there are millions of women alive on earth today who are also wondering how the fuck they will ever meet a partner with their lack of social outlet and love of unpopular fiction. and there is no time limit, or race to the finish. just do your best to not sweat it whenever someone does say hi or smile, and go from there. at the very least if you are freaking out, just say so. honesty is such a great starting point in friendships.

>>
>>37349180
Traps, hippies, metalheads, and Indians, for the most part. I belong to the first two designations.
>>
>>37349602
a hippie trap? isn't being a trap unnatural?
>>
>>37349614
My long hair was a thorough accident. It all began two years ago when I more or less just forgot to visit a barbershop.

It really can't be said I'm a proper hippie or a proper trap. It's just that my hippie music taste is part of what compelled me to hold onto my hair, and I just so happens I turned out looking a tad effeminate, something that's lead more than a few individuals to label me a so-called trap. The whole arrangement was, again, an accident.
