Anon, it gets better, eventually. I was alone without friends til I was 26. Go to a place where you think you'll meet people who have similar interests. I was like you but I started going to the library in town. Now I'm 29 and I work at the library part time, it's nice, I talk to about 30 people a week, regularly talk to them.

Being depressed can have a major impact on how people talk to you or not want to talk to you again, you just gotta find something, anything that makes you happy. And focus on that, it doesnt have to be big, or anything super exciting, just something you like that makes you happy Anon
Then try to find people who like it too. You'll form natural bonds with people that way.

lonely in college sucks. constantly in a crowd of similar people, but they're all too busy and anxious to socialize on weekdays.

when you're out, try to talk to people about themselves. just ask them stuff and let them talk. it's much less energy than telling them about yourself, and most people will jump at the opportunity.
