I don't really follow but I got it cut because the stray hairs I was shedding were very noticeable due to their length. Thinning hair sucks.

I had very long and curly metalhead hair at my early 20's... Until the maintenance started to get too expensive and complicated and I was literally balding because it was too much of a hassle to untie/wash. Ended up getting a really short mohawk and now my hair stopped falling.

I've been considering to let it grow again. Maybe this time I'll take better care of it.
