I'm quite a newfag here, and I agree with you, this board is actually shit. I can be considered a robot by "the standard" and it's too bad I didn't witness the golden age of /r9k/, all I hear is echoes of a lost board that is no more how it used to be.

What can we do to purge the normies away tho? Is there any effective way?

I've been here ten years and am still gf-free.

Yeah, I've only been around since 2012. The hugbox /r9k/ that I had in high-school was nice. Got me through a lot of shit and gave me plenty of keks. I do know that /r9k/ culture was different a while back before it's removal and revival. The second time it came back it was more of an autistic hugbox with a hint of /b/ (the good kind). I liked it because it was sort of a secret club that normies didn't really spill into.

I think some original content and memeing would be good for this board.

Honestly, I think the only way we can at least attempt to change the board is by ignoring the shit threads and posting in decent threads. There are some good threads that are made, it's just that they get pushed to page 15 because it no one cares about OC anymore it seems. By ignoring fembot + /soc/ tier threads and posting in threads with OC or interesting content we could change r9k. It may be a slow process, but it could work.
