Every function of your mind is like a muscle. Work on it, you build it up, gain momentum, and then you will have to maintain it. Let it go, and it begins to atrophy, or worse gets fat. Maintaining certain levels can be challenging and reaching high levels is even harder. You also risk burning out if you rise too quickly.

This applies to socializing, relationships, goals, business, education, health, knowledge, and many more areas of life. So think about the results you wish to achieve and what it will take to get there. Stop being a bitch, stop LARPing, stop fantasizing, stop dreaming, stop thinking too much. Start from the smallest step in the right direction, a step that gets you closer to your desired result. Do not ignore your desires, let them manifest. Action is key. Focus your energy on building one desire at a time and don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Cut out your distractions. Like the great Snoop Dogg once said "If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense".

Avoid anticipating instant results or getting paralysis by analysis at all costs. Remove your emotion and simply do what has to be done.

BLUE PILL YOURSELF with your own blue pill. Be a slave to yourself. Stop abusing yourself already you masochistic pervert! Wake up.

You know what, I should't cast pearls to swine... This is the key to success and most of you will just carry on, not doing shit.

I have no true ambition besides sporadic fapping, playing vydia and spoiling my cat.

Nigger if I had the energy to do the right thing I wouldn't need coffee to empty the dishwasher. Appreciate the effort, tho
>>

Ok, just be yourself anon. Even if that means living an existence miles below normie level.
>>
>>37282099
Imagine having a wife that does that for you. Then you could focus that energy on other things more stimulating and beneficial.
>>
>>37282133
Putting the cart before the horse there a bit homie
>>
>>37282352
Yes, that is an example of a result. A result that leads to additional opportunities. If you need more energy, find a way increase it. Make small lifestyle changes, they will add up and change will occur.
>>
>>37281905
You can create skills and habits this way. You can't create desire or passion. Lack of the latter is a more serious problem.
>>
>>37281905
You're right my dude and i have thought about this a lot so i'm glad there is someone else that has reached the same conclusions. My journey of self healing starts today, i'm going to do half an hour of meditating, read a chapter of Mao: the untold story, do some excersise and try to spend less time on 4chan. It all begins with small steps that's the key.

When it come to video games it seems like most people have the drive and passion to beat the game or compete against others to achieve very high levels. So they do have it. The video game gives them satisfaction from this achievement even if it is not technically real. Why wouldn't that kind of desire and ambitious mentality be applicable to real life goals? Is the video game distracting them from reality simply because it grants quicker gratification though a structured system? All that time and effort results in nothing tangible. At some point they crave another game and the cycle continues. This type of high is not sustainable.

Achievements in real life can grant tangible results that will be much more rewarding. I think that many people have forgotten or never even experienced the joy in the manifestation of any of their desires. We must allow ourselves to fall in love with the game of life. Too many distractions are sucking that energy away from us.
>>

You're making an assumption there, that video-game players play for the feeling of accomplishment. Some do, of course, but not even close to all. Some years back I was in a WoW guild that showed that divide pretty starkly. Some of them were really competitive. Any raid, they wanted to get the achievements, do the hard modes, clear it out, and then move on to the next patch ASAP. They got bored with content very quickly once they'd mastered it. The other half were just the opposite. They liked farm nights, dinking around, bringing alts. They were in no particular hurry and cared not a bit for doing the fight in some convoluted way to get an achievement.

There's a lot of people who just don't get that "joy in the manifestation of their desires" like you seem to. Either competition and accomplishment doesn't tickle them at all, or it motivates them much less than it does people like you. You assume everyone's a type-A personality but some people just don't know it yet. This is false.

I definitely agree with with that. However, I am writing this in response to the large amount of people here that make depressing posts about things they don't have. Some desire a gf and make no effort to actually find one. Or they won't do the things necessary to get a gf, it could be something simple like building confidence or hard like getting fit. So they resort to porn and masturbation, repressing their desire in the most unhealthy ways.

Some even live in the constant toxic shame of living the NEET life. Choosing to live in a vicious cycle of depression instead of satisfying their desire to work or being a contributing member of society. They could get the job they want and cure their depression or at least improve their situation.
>>
thanks op I know you're trying to help but isn't going to work
>>
>>37284182
I think most of them know this on some level but consciously or unconsciously figure that, though they may want a gf, money, whatever, they don't want it badly enough to go through the immense amount of effort it'd take to achieve it.

You know how they say everyone has his price? Anyone will do anything if the reward is large enough? That works in reverse, too. Raise the cost of someone getting what he wants high enough, and eventually he'll say "Nope, no deal" and give up on the goal.

>muh mind is like dah engine in my pickup truck!

fucking bro science, fuck off. I know it's a lie because on adderall, I'm just fine. No need to "gain momentum", I just have it. I imagine we all already have it, but we just have difficulty tapping into the power.
>>
I don't have any desires. Only basic needs
>>
>>37284327
for some lucky people its their natural state of mind to be energetic, optimistic, ambitious, and extroverted. For a lot of people here their natural state is exactly the opposite of that. You can use drugs to push yourself into a state that isn't your natural one, but your brain pushes back. You get a tolerance and as soon as you lay off the chemical assistance you go right back to where you were.
>>
>>37284313
But their hierarchy of needs still demands these things. You can't satisfy your hunger with virtual meatloaf. So the same must apply to the attempt of satisfying love/sex with porn. Removing the option of easily accessed porn may increase the drive to attain a real healthy relationship.
>>
>>37284486
>to attain a real healthy relationship.
how/why? all contemporary girls seem to be media-sheeple who become sluts and physically repulsive (unnatural hair / piercings / tattoos) to "be free from the patriarchy"

and other, untainted girls are too high value for a long term NEET to ever be able to have a chance

it's not a healthy relationship if the person involved disgusts me
>>
>>37284486
That's only the case if you think that a real healthy relationship is a realistically obtainable goal. It isn't always. To state the obvious base case, no-fap doesn't fix autism.
>>
>>37281905
All that's needed is to practice Bhakti-Yoga by chanting Hare Krsna daily. I guarantee you the quality of your mental state will skyrocket if you do so.
