When my Great Grandma passed away in 2013, I was a NEET and my Brother worked. She owned like 5 houses. They weren't anything special though and my Grandparents didn't want them. Ended up selling them all to my Brother for super cheap. He's now a NEET living off rental income and his girlfriend is a RN. I'm still a borderline NEET. I work but still live with my Dad who doesn't work and I end up having to pay half the bills with his girlfriend who is nothing but a PNA (CNA but in a mental hospital). I make barely enough to get by yet alone save up for my future. This is the best job I can get because I only have a GED and I owe the community college $670 before I can go back and saving up $67 is barely possible yet alone $670. Meanwhile my Brother does nothing but play video games on his 65" TV and smoke weed all day. I have a 4 year old laptop that barely runs an internet browser anymore and only sometimes reach my neighbors Xfinity Hotspot to sign into my Brother's account.
