They seek approval of women, so they do what women want (give them power in the form of social control) and in turn become male feminists.

It's like any desperate thing guys do to get female attention, like pretend they have a lot of money, or act any certain way.

I grew up in a big city, so plenty of "progressive" women around me. My father wasn't really terribly involved with me once I hit puberty, and my mother was always around and overbearing. Not to mention she was a feminist in the late 80's/early 90's. Then I got to high school and shit was thrown at me every which way about female respect and shit. I snapped out of it when I met this really stupid and slutty girl who I absolutely disliked. It's crazy to think of how ingrained it is in our society. The occasional times I have normal social interaction, it always blows me away and I have to "switch" into "world mode", where I dance the lines of PC, because normally, my opinions would oust me.

It's kind of disheartening to think that finding a "non-modern woman" is really difficult. I don't want to spend time with a woman who can't cook, can't love, and focuses on herself and "the fight for women", when women have so much power already.

Because it's the right thing to do and they're good, intelligent, kind people.

Anyone who thinks feminism is about equal rights for women and girls is at best halfway there and at worst reactionary. This is why feminism has been accused of a white middle-class bias so often--because they fail to account for race and class as intertwining systems of oppression. You can't be against capitalism and NOT be a feminist, and vice-versa.

The emancipation of women is not an act compassion or anything condescending like that, but a necessary precondition for the destruction of class in society and the social antagonisms that make it possible.

Stop saying this shit. The "true feminism" you're referring to is gone for good. The extreme feminism has replaced it completely, so there's no use in making that distinction.
