Yeah, they were my favorite band for a good while. I don't listen to metal anymore but still play their tracks on guitar.

I still enjoy their last four albums, specially The Sound of Perseverance.

I saw a lot of people saying that Chuck Schuldiner was a gay jew who died of AIDS back in the day. Apparently brutal fags don't like Death's softer style too much.

When Chuck Schuldiner was young, his brother died in a car accident. In order to help him cope, his parents bought him a guitar. In a way, a huge driving force and what gave life to the band in general was Death.

What adds to the irony is how Chuck seemed like such a nice, thoughtful guy who loved life. As edgy as Death was, it was only hatred towards those who did not respect life.

One of my favorite Death lyrics:

I used to really like them a lot. Symbolic was my favorite. I'm not that into death metal anymore though. Seems kind of like a childish genre, although some death metal lyrics are pretty good
