People say it's a tax on the math illiterate but for me personal it's a tax on the desperate. There's no way I can achieve the life I want anymore outside of winning the lottery. I'm too old, wasted too much time, fucked up too many opportunities, and have too much debt. I have zero, ZERO way to fix things outside of winning millions of dollars. All I think about anymore is what I'd do with the money, how I'd fix things, how I'd restart my life. I buy tickets every week, I go through the motions until the numbers are called, and then I repeat week after week. It's all I look forward to anymore.
