If more females than males were born, men would be in demand and there would be more female virgins.

That is simply not true in the western world. Maybe in China, where female infants get drowned in rivers.
In the west the ratio is around 50/50 and actually usually leans towards the female side, because men generally have lesser life expectancy for various reasons.
You can not compare it to a normal market nowadays, because having sex was a life-long commitment around 1500a.d. for the last time. Nowadays the "market" is somewhat like a library, people pick out what they like and what they do not like gathers dust in some storage room. Even if your numbers were correct, hypergamy is very real and a logical conclusion to sexual liberation.
Do not try to rationalize the whole state of affairs, you are simply undesirable and not living in some sexual communism where a partner is physically unavailable.
