How could I possibly believe in a god that allows existence to be like this. Besides the appeal to emotion right there it seems like fact that the universe did not need a creator, that life did not need any sort of jump start, and that what we know as consciousness or the mind or what have you is most likely yet another adaptation that just so happened to put us on top.

The very concept of a fully sentient entity that can simply will matter into existence, and somehow exists outside of space and time is fucking absurd.
