You may find there are positive and motivational motifs in the movie that can be easily over looked. Or if it's a depressing movie maybe there are things the character did that led him to his fate.

The way I read your original post is that you're under 30 but really want to be a wizard, so in order to force this you come up with a new definition, which seems to be a classic sign of the times really, "I identify as a....""the general definition of x may be, but my definition is...", it's going to be fun when this moves on to the dictionaries.
