No, I live in a part of America most people says has no accent. Truth is we slur our words a lot and muddle t and d sounds, but people don't tend to notice it.

That's because you're putting your lower lip between your teeth and blowing, to make the "f" sound.

You're supposed to put your tongue between your teeth and blow to make the voiceless "th" sound (the "th" in "meth").

It's literally that easy. You just need to use your tongue, not your lip.
