Im on welbutrin and buspirone now and theyre helping a lot except for moodswings, but thats less a side effect of the meds and more due to my illness.

Doctor wanted to give me benzos for my personality disorder and anxiety stuff, I said I didn't want to take those and now I'm on sertraline after hopping around on other meds for a bit (with none of them working).

It's the only one I've actually felt a noticable change from, but I can't say if it's for better or worse. I feel constantly disconnected from my emotions, like I'm reaching through a fog to feel anything. I feel empty to the point of just being a shell that does nothing and is drained of all energy.

However, I don't feel urges to self harm and my moods only occur once every two weeks or once a week when it used to be about 4-5 times a week. Is it better? I don't really know... I feel numb.

I've been On SSRI's only once long term and while it temporarily can help with anxiety and depression I found after a few months I felt so zombie-like and dull and had no emotions and got even more depressed and then got some awful side effects (Dizziness, forgetfulness, always exhausted, more anxiety eventually) Fuck SSRI's. They're a meme. If you NEED them absolutely for the short term, okay but try to just work out, eat right and maybe smoke weed very ocassionally to take the edge off if you have to but thats it. Fuck the rest.

I was also on Sertraline and felt the same way. Celexa did the same thing. Also tried Prozac and it was even worse. Just zombie like, tiredness and then eventually you rely on them and get awful side effects. Don't fall for them, benzos are bad too cause they're addictive. Wish I never did any of that shit t b h but luckily it wasnt that long (less than a year)

Use to take it when I was a teen (100mg), had it for about 3 or so years. It would give me jolts of energy that lasted for a few minutes and it would suck my libido dry. Most of the time though it just left me crashed and burned, didn't do shit. I've been on it for years now, it helps. Makes you put bad stuff off on the side. Side effects can suck though, decreased sex drive, weight problems, drowsiness, etc.. I'd recommend it if you have little to no options left, since it can indirectly fuck other shit up in your life, but once you get adjusted to it you'll be fine.

I had a weird experience (this only happened once) where I took zoloft (40 mg) and 6g of shrooms and i kind of blacked out sort of? like i remember bits and pieces of being lucid but it felt like it was a dream kind of (like a lucid dream) and I had to go to the hospital because my friends said I was acting weird, like laying on the floor and acting like a baby (though i do have a diaper fetish...maybe cause i thought it was a dream?) I've tried many other drugs, but sertraline was perfect for me. Fixed up a lot of very bad issues, psychotic episodes. I wish it did more, but i'm just happy it didn't fuck me up like cipralex and seroxat did.
Also made it much harder to cum, so i'm able to edge myself super easy. It is a miracle drug for me, but I know that there are many people that were completely fucked up by it. Just like with any other anti-depressant.
Also taking JUST drugs is always a horrible idea. If they're not mixed with active and good therapy it's useless.
