Question for robots born in 1997: did you grow up moreso with Millennial shows like "Samurai Jack", "Yu Yu Hakusho", "Malcolm in the Middle", "American Dragon Jake Long", "Dave the Barbarian", "Rocket Power", "Invader Zim", "The Weekenders", and "Recess"?

Or Gen Z shows like "Hannah Montana", "Phineas and Ferb", "iCarly", "Chowder", "Total Drama Island", and "Flapjack'?
>>
>>37081453
It was a mixture of both. Like I had a younger sister so I got q good taste of both of them.
>>
I lined with the millennial shows
>>
>>37081453
Very specific year. Just turned 20 yesterday. I watched almost all the millennial shows you listed, but I didn't watch any of the more recent ones you listed. I remember making fun of that shit back when it was current.
>>
>>37081525
I chose it because it's on the "cusp" of the two generations definition.
>>
>>37081453
1997? Fucking kids, go to play outside ffs.

Pool's closed.
>>
born in 97 and never watched any of those shows apart from recess
>>
>>37081453
The only shows on that list I remember trying to make sure I watch were American Dragon,Phineas and Ferb, and Total Drama Island. So i guess that means it's more Gen Z for me.
>>
>>37081453
1996, both. 1st generation to grow up with internet, atleast from like 3rd grade, master generation
>>
>>37081622
4chan is not on average 18. I found 4chsn in 2008 when I was 18 but that's highly fucking uncommon. It's kind of like how I didn't lose my virginity until I was 21.
>>
>>37081453
I was born in 1998, for me it was a mix of both but mostly the latter ones.

Spongebob was the biggest for me.

>>
>>37081651
We had the internet in 94 you faggot. The earliest I remember using it was probably 98 when I was 8 but that was for stupid shit like the hamster dance. I used it pre 9/11 for school projects for sure.
>>
>>37081622
Lmao, the summer meme exists for a reason
>>
>>37081697
i'm a 21 kv gimme a greentext senpai?
>>
I was born in January of 97, I didn't watch any of those shows you listed.

We're not really millenials or gen z, we are middle children of history.
>>
>>37081622
So, at 18 years old people serpent-encrypt their virginity with a 64 char password until they become a wizard? 4chan main logo should say "Join us an learn to master your pussy repeller skills" kek

Because this is an anime website, not a nigger website.
>>
millenial shows. The only ones on that list i actually watched were samurai jack and malcom in the middle.
>>
>>37081778
No. I started having sex with a lesbian couple then they broke up and I dated 1 for 2 years until she went off her birth control to get pregnant with out telling me then left me to get back with her ex. I had to fight her for at least 2 years in court for any reasonable amount of custody and she's subjecting my daughter to poverty and an emotionally abusive household. I'm not going to relive it for you, it's not sexy.
>>
>>37081799
Sorry to hear that famalama.
I never posted back then (I took the "lurk moar" shit to heart) and to this day I dont post often. It's been fun watching this site grow and change just as I have. But I must say it used to be more humorous. Now that I'm becoming an older fuck, the sadness is becoming more relatable.

Id say it was a decent mix of both. I think I liked most of the shows you listed except for Rocket Power. I hated Rocket Power with a passion though I have no clue why.

Also for Millenial shows you forgot Dragon Ball Z. That shit was the jam growing up.

>mfw Goku getting slapped around while heart diseased
>mfw Trunks and Vegeta gettin fuckin bootyblasted by Cell when he regens from Goku's sacrifice
>mfw Majin Vegeta sacrifice

I was born 1998. I have vauge memories of some of the first few shows, though my family was really into Malcom in the Middle and I'd love to watch Invader Zim reruns whenever they came on.

I remember gen Z shows like iCarly and the cartoon Network stuff much better.
>>
>>37081453
None of them, I grew up with:

Spongebob
Courage the cowardly dog
And Russian Multiki
>>
>talking about cartoons
fucking virgins
>>
>>37081453
The former

I always forget about the stupid robot.
>>
>>37081453
Both and i'm sick of you nostalgia fags ruining this board and modern media.
>>
>>37081453
well this >>37082933
without Courage dog
and I remember watching Dave the Barbarian and it was kick ass but somehow could't watch it again
>>
>>37081453
both. but I really liked total drama island because it took place in muskoka and used to live in Bracebridge.
>>
Late 2006 is when kids' media started targeting Gen Z.

In late 2006, many things that Millennials(kids in 90s and/or early 2000s) grew up with came to an end such as the 6th gen of video gaming, tv shows like Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, The West Wing, Malcolm in the Middle, the Bernie Mac Show, That's 70 Show, Will&Grace. Hannah Montana and High School Musical became the faces of Disney Channel, replacing more early 2000s-styled fare like Lizzie mcguire and Even stevens. Wii and PS3 came out during the year and mandatory DLC became common in games. Pluto stopped being a planet even though it had been one to every generation of children for 100 years up to that point.
>>
>>37081453
98 and both

Even my little brother born in 03 watched both
>>
Both, although I remember the Millennial shows more fondly.
>>
>>37081453
Actually answering because I was born in early 97
I remember watching: Samurai Jack, Kids Next Door, Ed Ed and Eddy, iCarly Chowder, and Flapjack. So a mixture- a pretty good one. Maybe more Z stuff
>>
>>37081453
I was born in 98 and I watched
>spongebob
>powder puff girls
>malcom in the middle
>dave the barbarian
>recess
>hey arnold
>timmy turner (can't remember the name of the actual show)
>jimmy neutron
I also watched a bit of chowder but I wasn't watching other cartoons at that point, it was just a good show.
>>
>>37081453
84

I am time immemorial and remember when CN first launched in the year anno domini nine-teen hundred and ninety two

So yeah, both, I guess, but Chowder was dumb.
>>
>>37081731
>>37081799
It freaks me out to think that there might be second-generation anons now. Like, some guy might have been on here in '03, had a kid in '04, and now that kid is 13 and shitposting.
>>
>>37081453
1997 here. I watched both. And some earlier ones not listed.

1997 is goat year to be born in 2bh
>>
>>37081453
former. I mostly stopped watching TV and played video games all day by the time the latter stuff was on
>>
I was born in an eastern European country where we got things a lot later than most, so I've seen the millennial shows, a couple of gen z ones and some older stuff like Dexter's lab and even wacky races.
I'd say the ones I identify most with my childhood are definitely millennial though.
Johnny bravo was funny shit.
>>
>>37086403
i always thought johnny bravo was awful, when they showed older toons like jetsons or flintstones i just turned that shit off

>not 85
kys
>>
Bit of both, though the newer shows seemed more childish to me. However, I personally never cared about anything beyond Courage the Cowardly Dog.
>>
>>37081453
These posts seem to confuse childhood and early teenage years. I was born in 97 and I grew up (age 4-10) watching the X generation shows, but stopped watching as much during the Gen Z shows, mostly because they were fucking horrible and I felt I was too old.

Also recess was a very boring show to me.
>>
>>37081453
I'd say 80% the former and 20% the latter, then again I watched cartoons for way longer then when the average kid stopped.

I have a whole damn paper filled with cartoons I used to watch that I occasionally pick from and rewatch.
