I can't predict the time the next step in my life plan will take, so I can't give you a month by month time sheet.

I'm applying for new jobs because my current one has begun to feel like a dead end, and I found out that the person running my company has a real shady record, so I don't want to be involved with the company anymore.

After I get a new job, I'm going to take a well-deserved vacation, and move into a better apartment, and buy a new high performance computer. I'm going to redouble my efforts to find a gf, and because of the increase in pay I expect from my job, start to save up for a down payment on a house.

>JUN
Get a gun license.
>JUL
Nothing too special here, fish a little maybe? Though I could do that regardless.
>AUG
Try to get a workshop of some sorts going.
>SEP
You know those small hangar things used during the world wars? They're being sold for a rather inexpensive price. I'd love one but I don't have anywhere to put it and I fucking hate living in the city/suburbs. Try to save up enough to buy a few acres of land, nothing too major, 5 or so should do it, hell maybe even a little less.
>OCT
Start a small gun collection. I'm eyeing an AK 74 being sold for a thousand or so dollars, and I'm currently trying to find an authentic original M1911 in not shit quality. Though I'll need to see how well my truck holds up by then.
>NOV
If for some reason I don't get into an apprenticeship by now I'll look towards joining the military. Got a 78 on the ASVAB so I could pretty much get whatever job I want as long as I qualify. But who knows, I sure as hell don't.

JUN: Finish high school, hope that I get unti one of my Uni's, continue losing weight, play Tekken 7.

JUL: Keep losing weight until I hit my weight goal, then start hormones, and learn how to do make up while working on my voice. Continue to play Tekken 7 at locals.

AUG: Crossplay at a convention and meet friends I've met through r9k if thats still going on (a little complicated so it might or might not happen). Move out to whatever Uni I get into if I get into one.

SEP: Either start Uni after having started hormones and begin actually transitioning (new name, fem appearance, etc.), or get a job or go back to school to improve grades if I don't I guess.

NOV: Be somewhat happy in Uni studying game design, and transitioning, or be miserable stuck at home working a wagie job, or studying to get hs grades up.

My Dad said he's kicking me out of the house unless I find some direction in my life. He told me to join the Air Force or Army.
I've been exercising regularly to prepare for the military, and I've got a good feeling about the ASVAB since I did pretty well in school and on the SATs.
Could you give me some pointers for joining and some pointers for the ASVAB though? It looks like you've gone farther into the recruiting process than I have.

Here's the thing with the ASVAB: unless if you know absolutely nothing, literally a vegetable with no signal going on upstairs, the ASVAB is not hard at all. Granted me and technical skills go somewhat hand in hand, as my desire for a workshop on my own land proves, but as long as you know what basic arithmetic is and how a screwdriver and stuff works you're fine. If you did well in school and the SAT's then the math parts shouldn't be a problem and the English parts should be simple for someone who natively speaks it. I know they had some basic engineering problems for me and I do believe some electrician stuff (what is voltage, how does a breaker work, jazz like that) but it seriously isn't nothing to get worked up about. If you ask me, if you get a score that doesn't just leave you with straight infantry, you've done well. Might differ a little in your case based on content though.

Coming from a family that has centuries of military experience across multiple countries and my own independent research, try your damndest not to get just infantry. Teaches you absolutely nothing valuable in life and the guys that get it tend not to be so bright upstairs. Some exceptions of course but we don't live by just exceptions. I'm personally looking at combat engineer, or something along those lines. Not just blowing shit up but also construction and carpentry as well as some heavy vehicle operating, plus a not too bad salary for military standards. Don't waste 4 years or whatever you'll get anon, get something out of it. Oh, and take things recruiters say with a grain of salt, their main job is to recruit and they will lie out of their ass and sweep you up if you're unprepared. Get everything they promise written on paper, your chances of getting something you're interested in increase drastically.
>>
>>37024694
I don't even know what I want to do with my life. I'd like to learn music and do something with that (I'm taking my instruments and equipment with me when I get sent off) but the military has 0 openings for music performance and audio engineering. Plus, the audio engineering careers in the military aren't exactly for music production anyways.
If I was going to pick some kind of skill to devote my time to in the military as a career (besides music, writing, and reading during freetime), carpentry doesn't sound too bad. I'm into history, reading, writing, and music but I have zero knowledge of any technical skills however, carpentry included. Would I have a chance in getting a position as a carpenter?

>>
>>37024853
It all depends on what you get into anon. I know the army has some music related stuff but whether or not there's openings I can't say. And in the military they'll teach you all you need to know about what you go into, so if you do get something carpentry related they'll teach you at the very least the basics of it. After all, how many people go in knowing how to shoot a gun well? But in regards to carpentry specifically, I'd imagine the sappers (army combat engineers) would spend some time with it alongside the Marine ones, though they'll probably differ in the nitty gritty of what they do since army is land and the Marines are more naval/beaches. Just know that this stuff can get physical anon, hell even I'm not that great at carpentry, but it's better than just infantry where you're just lugging a bunch of shit around all day. And if you cared you probably won't see much combat unless if carpentry is a part of whatever MOS you get into that just so happens to be combat arms.

JUNE: Keep lifting. Head south for a bit to visit family. Come back and see if I can do that volunteer thing, you know, socialize with people my age (actually a bit younger than me so I'll be like social training-wheels)
JULY: Keep lifting. Use the money I've saved up to have a bit of summer fun.
AUGUST: Same as July
SEPTEMBER: Back to class. Hopefully all the work I've been doing on myself (fitness, fashion, hygiene, etc.) pays off and I can actually form relationships with people without having them hate me within a month. Start putting in the paperwork to reapply to USMA
OCTOBER: Same as September. Also, go to NYCC and hopefully lose my virginity to some sexually repressed nerd girl. Fingers crossed.
NOVEMBER: Same as September. Maybe an interview with my senator for his recommendation, assuming my stuff is up to snuff (he used to be my city's mayor and I have a bunch of pictures of us together when I was young so hopefully it'd be in the bag.)

I need money. Desperately.

I'm not a bad programmer, I have a few projects on my Github profile. But I'm not much of a web developer. PHP seems really popular in freelance websites around here. I'm familiar with PHP, but I've never worked with one of its CMSes. I tried some frameworks like Slim, Symfony and CakePHP. But the last time I tried Wordpress I thought it was so shitty, restrictive and bloated.
