If my son were actually schizophrenic (diagnosed and all) I would make sure he got the required help and took medication/went to therapy.

I would spend as much time as possible with him while helping him get employment and looking to schizophrenic help groups to get him involved in.

If he didn't listen, ignored all help, and refused to do anything, even with all of my input, I would kick him out at 25 at the latest.
