1) Kids are not an investment anymore. 2) The welfare state, especially the intergenerational solidarity model basically works in a way that makes you certain that effectively someone else's children will take care of you, disincentivizing you from building your own family. It may be farfetched, but I believe that this does also have some effect.

3) Education. This is a huge one. The average young adult today absolutely has to go to college and will be ready to enter the job market by the time they're 24, 25 or even older. It's gonna take them a few more years to see where their career is going and get themselves a steady job or other source of income at which point it becomes feasible to start planning a family.

Americans also on top of that have issues of student debt and the men have family courts working against them which is catastrophic for the newer generations.

But yeah, let's fix that by changing nothing in the educational and welfare systems and force men to do more to keep the leaking boat afloat, taking the fun out of their lives. Let's blame them for not playing by our shitty rules.

Examples would be the Soulsbornes, though your mileage may vary there, the God of War games (pre-cuck edition) you have a handful of oldschool RPGs like Bravely Default which is very nice if you enjoyed the earlier Final Fantasies since it's one of those in all but name. The real problem here isn't that men aren't manning up, it's that women's standards of what they want in a partner haven't changed to accommodate contemporary society. What a woman wants in a man is the same they wanted 50 years ago: a breadwinner, a man who's the active person in the relationship and a man who impresses others. But now with quotas for female employees in workplaces, scholarships for women and women joining the workforce in general; men are getting shoved out. So, being able to earn an income of their own, women have changed their standards of what they look for in a partner, correct? WRONG. A woman can be earning a 6 figure salary, hold numerous prestigious positions and be incredibly social and she STILL wants a man who has all that if not more. The problem is that there just aren't enough men like that anymore.

Now all of this, all of this, could still be solved if, taking on a more dominant role in the workforce and society, women shifted their means of courtship to match this and started trying to court men to the same degree that men do women. But the STILL refuse to do this. So that's why men dropping out of society is so noticible because they're the ACTIVE agents in courtship. The modern woman just wants to sit back, reject every man who doesn't meet their inflated standards and let guys fall over themselves trying to impress them, because they're just that amazing right?

So now all these women who fucked chads but weren't attractive or likable enough to marry him are gritting their teeth, furious, that the guys they forced to jump through all their hoops said 'to hell with that' and dropped out of the game entirely. Their backup options are now falling out from under their feet and they hate it.
