Mom is a "progressive" type so shit like halloween, valentines day, mothers day, fathers day, christmas, etc. were always considered corporate holidays designed to make people spend money and thus not worth celebrating at all.

Last time i bought her flowers and took her out to a nice restaurant for mothers day she threw the flowers in the trash and got very upset.
The entire restaurant got to see a grown ass man in a suit get sat down by his mother and explained why she's not some whore or hussy and how ashamed she is i'd do that.
Cost $150 for reservations alone.

Well she's not back til later next week. But I'm trying to have a low-carb strawberry cheesecake ready for her. I'm still learning though, so the practice one I made didn't turn out fantastic.

A friend said she'd get a friend of hers who actually knows their way around baking to help me. I'm pretty excited. After years of being a NEET and making her cry for my future, this is my way of showing that I appreciate her now that I'm independent.

I bought her a laptop, and I'm planning on cooking her some chicken parm and a sopapilla cheesecake.
