/g/ is a bit too serious for this sort of post but I just had to tell someone.

I built a PC a few months back, it's a pretty solid build. i7-6700k, GTX1080, 275gb SSD boot, awesome motherboard, etc. But the RAM, PSU, and CPU cooler were cheap and old.

So for a while it was okay, but every time I'd try to overclock my CPU it would just short out, and I figured I lost the silicon lottery. But then it got worse and my CPU started going bad even on the stock clock, same with my cheap RAM. So I decided to throw a few hundred dollars at it and get a good power supply unit, some good RAM, and a great CPU cooler. It fired right up and hasn't given me any complaints about the overclock that it is currently sitting at, and I'm looking forward to pushing it when I wake up tomorrow.

I just had to share that with someone. If you guys want to tell me something cool that has happened to you today, please do.

Just got back from my daily haircut, wagecuck.

I'd stay and chat, but I haven't finished my second cup of coffee yet, so tally-ho for now.

Never ever cheap out on RAM or the PSU. They're just as vital as a 600 bucks GPU.
