Here goes...

I had skin removed from an earlier wound from an operation that happened two years ago.

The original wound was sutured but burst two weeks later after changing my tires (because 80 lb-ft torque = too much stress on the suture), so I had to have the let the wound heal, open.

The wound seemed to be healing at a slower, yet decent rate until a year later, where it just somehow stopped. I don't know why, since I've regularly kept it clean.

Fast forward to this year, and the doctor checked the wound and said 90% of it has healed and the remaining piece isn't ever going to heal.

So I had that piece cut out and the remaining bit sewn together, last Friday. The doctor checked it out yesterday and he said it's healing extremely well and should be done in a week or two.

Here's the piece they removed.
